Now by understanding the meaning of both words, we can now rephrase the above Excerpt in more easy language to understand the usage & timing of word:
"People are not worried about the health issues crisis originating from ( Emanating) Coronavirus disease spreading over a very wide geographical area (pandemic) rather more worried about the economic slow down originate due to coronavirus disease according to the online study"

Now its very much clear that " Emanating" used in the excerpt is to address the origin of " pandemic" from the coronavirus.
